Meeting of the members of the Academy with:

Hon. Yves Berthelot - Executive Secretary of the Economical Commission for Europe

Dr. Edward V. Evreinov - First Vice-President of IIA

During this meeting, Hon. Yves Berthelot conducted an introduction to the ECE policy and delivered the IIA Diplomas to the new IIA members.

Meeting with:

Hon. V. Lebedev - Chief Justice, President of the Supreme Court of Russia and Hon. N. Smirnov - General Consul of Russia in Montreal.

The IIA has organized several meetings with Hon. M. Lebedev with law firms and businessmen from Montreal and Toronto.

The Chief Justice of Russia also met with Hon. Pierre Mechand, the Chief Justice of the Province of Quebec as well as professors and students from the McGill University Faculty of Law.

The representatives of the Government of Quebec, attorneys from Lapointe Rosenstein, Barristers & Solicitors Inc., representatives of companies such as SNC Lavalin and Merck Inc. participated in the meetings in Montreal.

The IIA had also arranged a special meeting at SNC Lavalin where Hon. V. Lebedev provided participants with information regarding the arbitrage system of Russia, regulation for foreign investors and other useful informations.

In Toronto, the complete staff of Olser, Hoskin Ltd., companies such as Dynamic Mutual Funds (with Mr. Net Goodman, the President), Dandee Bancorp Inc. and others, were participating at the meeting with Hon. V. Lebedev.
