Mr. Kamil Sh. Ziyatdinov, Minister of Health; Mr. Abrek Kh. Khairullinne, Cheif of Chistopol Administration;

Mr. Khafiz M. Salikhov, Director of Agency for International Cooperation to the Cabinet Ministers;

Mr. Roman Shafigullin, Assistant to the Prime Minister;

Mr. Edward I. Khabiboullin, Chief Executive Officer of Foreign Affairs Department (American & Australian Sector);

Mr. Albert Bikmullin, President of IIA-Kazan Headquarters;

Mr. Robert T. Nagayev, Head of Com

mittee on land Resources & Reform Administration of Kazan City.

A Protocol of international cooperation has been signed by both the Republic of Tatarstan Government and the Government of Quebec by His Honor Rustam Minnikhanov, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and His Honor Bernard Landry, Vice-Prime Minister, Minister of Economy, Finance, Industry, Commerce, Scince and Technology of the Government of Quebec.(Picture #3)

The IIA-Montreal Headquarters' Members had the opportunity to meet with the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan and sign different contracts on investment projects in the Republic of Tatarstan.

The UNDP of Belarus has assigned the IIA-Montreal Headquarters to prepare, organize and administer the Study Tour of His Honor Vladimir N. Shimov, the Minister of Economy of Belarus and Mr. Victor V. Pinigine, the Deputy Director of the research Institute of the Ministry of Economy of Belarus.

During this visit, the IIA-Montreal Headquarters' Members had the opportunity to meet Hon.Vladimir N. Shimov and to analyze the possibilities of potential investment opportunities and cooperation with Belarus.

 

May 1998

 

The IIA-Montreal Headquarters had organized the Trade Mission of the Government of Quebec, headed by: His Honor Guy Chevrette, Minister of State Natural Resources, Minister of Regions, Minister responsible for Electoral and Parliamentary Reform and Minister for Native Affairs.

Also, Minister responsible for the Lanaudiere region and North of Quebec region, chairman of the Legislation and a member of the Priorities Committee.

The mission also included high officials from the Government of Quebec and the IIA-Montreal Headquarters' Members.

During the Trade Mission's visit to the Republic of Tatarstan, the IIA-Montreal Headquarters' members had the opportunity to negotiate and sign several preliminary investment agreements, which were finalized during the visit of the Official Delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan to Canada in October 1998.
