Canarm wins bid

"Canar Precious Metals Co.", owned by "Gadji Commerce International Inc.", Canadian entity with headquarters in Montreal, Canada, won an international bid organized by the Ministry of the Environment of Armenia on November 7, 2007.

According to the state license, Gadji Co. received the right to study and exploit the gold mine located in the southern region of Armenia. The estimated value of gold in this mine is about 26MT.

Dundee Cooperation

As part of the cooperation programs with Dundee Precious Metals Inc., the Canadian entity involved in the mining sector, the International Informatization Academy has organized several official meetings for Mr. Jonathan Goodman, CEO and President, and Mr. James Small, Vice-President, to present plans of Dundee Precious Metals Inc. at the top level. This will help ensure the state support to its activities in Armenia.

Mr. J. Goodman and Mr. J. Small met Hon. Robert Kocharyan, the President of the Republic of Armenia on November 27, 2007.

On November 28, 2007 they met with the Prime Minister of Armenia, Hon. Serge Sargsyan.

All aspects of the cooperation between Dundee Precious Metals Inc. and the State have been discussed. High officials of the Republic of Armenia welcomed Dundee Co. in Armenia.

Dundee's representatives had several very productive meetings with Hon. Aram Harutyunyan, the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Armenia.

IIA announces partners for 2008

The International Informatization Academy announced that in 2008, its major country partners will be the United States of America, China, Russia, Lybia, Brazil and Armenia.

The International Informatization Academy also announced that it will continue to support Canadian entities in accessing major international markets.

Work has already started with Lybian and international partners on different projects to be implemented in Lybia. Examples of such projects include;

  • Bunkering (Dalcona Inc., Canada)
  • Construction and Production of Construction Materials (Faberon Inc., Canada, Russia, China)

 

Armenia Presidential Elections

The new president of the Republic of Armenia was elected - CONGRATULATIONS!

According to the results of the presidential elections in Armenia, which took place on February 19, 2008, Mr. Serge Sargsyan, the Prime Minister of Armenia, has been elected as the 3rd President of the Republic of Armenia. He received 52% of the votes.

The International Informatization Academy believes that the elections were well organized and wishes to congratulate the new President for his victory.

On April 20, 2009, the University of Montreal awarded Mr. Charles Aznavour with a honorable doctorate diploma in recognition to his exceptional contribution to the french culture around the world. The ceremony took place at the Ernest-Cormier amphitheatre of the Roger-Gaudry pavillion at the University of Montreal.

The International Informatization Academy attended this private ceremony and was gladly received by Mr. Aznavour himself.

During the meeting, Mr. Aznavour noted that he would gladly receive the IIA delegation in Switzerland where he currently resides.

Tata in Montreal 2001

In August 2001, the International Informatization Academy organized the concert of famous armenian pop singer Tata and his band in Montreal, Quebec. The event was part of the cultural development program of the IIA. The concert was held at the famous Salle Claude-Champagne which is a unique hall famous for being specifically built for musical events. The hall is the most important music hall of the University of Montreal and is renowned for its excellent acoustic capabilities.
